About
RENÈ is a genderless, Copenhagen-based fashion brand founded in 2022 by Jens Skov Østergaard and Kridipat Østergaard. Their partnership forms a cross-cultural collaboration that deeply informs the design process, blending Scandinavian restraint with Eastern precision and drawing inspiration from craft, culture, and heritage. RENÈ reimagines identity, form, materiality, tradition, and contemporaneity through a thoughtful, tactile approach to clothing.
We centre on generous volumes, relaxed tailoring, and playful exaggeration in shape, silhouette, and texture, exploring clothing as sculptural structures in dialogue with the body. Garments are approached as tactile, temporal objects, creating a contemporary dress code that feels relevant across cultures and identities.
Committed to high-quality craftsmanship and responsible production, RENÈ works exclusively with deadstock fabrics sourced from Denmark, Italy, and Japan, with many materials originating from the Danish interior and furniture industries. These luxury upholstery and drapery textiles are recontextualised into garments produced in small batches, crafted alongside skilled tailors and family-run ateliers, balancing experimentation, tradition, and sustainability.
